¹² He is to take a censer full of burning coals^(A) from the altar before the Lord and two handfuls of finely ground fragrant incense^(B) and take them behind the curtain.

¹⁴ Then they are to place on it all the utensils^(A) used for ministering at the altar, including the firepans,^(B) meat forks,^(C) shovels^(D) and sprinkling bowls.^(E) Over it they are to spread a covering of the durable leather and put the poles^(F) in place.

⁶ You, Korah, and all your followers^(A) are to do this: Take censers^(B)

⁷ and tomorrow put burning coals^(A) and incense^(B) in them before the Lord. The man the Lord chooses^(C) will be the one who is holy.^(D) You Levites have gone too far!”

¹⁶ Moses said to Korah, “You and all your followers are to appear before the Lord tomorrow—you and they and Aaron.^{(A) 17} Each man is to take his censer and put incense in it—250 censers in all—and present it before the Lord. You and Aaron are to present your censers also.^(B)” ¹⁸ So each of them took his censer,^(C) put burning coals and incense in it, and stood with Moses and Aaron at the entrance to the tent of meeting.

⁴⁶ Then Moses said to Aaron, “Take your censer^(A) and put incense in it, along with burning coals from the altar, and hurry to the assembly^(B) to make atonement^(C) for them. Wrath has come out from the Lord;^(D) the plague^(E) has started.”

³ Another angel,^(A) who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people,^(B) on the golden altar^(C) in front of the throne.
